IPME’s collaboration with Supreme Manufacturing creating a three-story modular computer controlled loading dredge with a 20-ton hoist crane is another example of alternative uses of shipping containers. IPME modified two new 20-foot high cube and two new 40-foot high cube shipping containers adding structural posts with custom plates. This allowed the shipping containers to be stacked in an unconventional way. At the same time, electrical, lighting, man doors, vents, intake fans, and epoxy were installed in the shipping containers transforming the into a modular control center and housing allowing for quick set up and relocation. This incredible piece of shipping container equipment can be operated by a single person lifting raw material out of; the water where it is dumped onto a dump grizzly, where oversized rocks can either be discarded into the water or into a rock barge.
