Today’s military requires different tools to assist them in their training and shipping containers offer a unique type of assistance. Shipping containers can be used for a variety of different applications, including training our military. In order for our troops to receive the best type of training possible it is important for them to train in an environment similar to the one that they face out in battle. These military training shipping containers can be used to create an obstacle course, or even be made to resemble buildings and towns.
These training areas are referred to as MOUTS (Military Operation on Urban Terrain) and are becoming more commonly used. In order to make these shipping container sets appear as realistic as possible the Strategic Operations (STOPS) engineers design and construct them to look like actual buildings. Once these shipping containers are made to look like common structures, the soldiers can gain a better feel for what it will be like moving up and down stairs and from room-to-room in different scenarios. Another advantage of modular shipping container training units is the ease of transport and reassembly.
Not only are these shipping containers used to construct urban city reenactments, they can also be used for quickly constructing military housing and office buildings. It is very important for our military to receive the best type of training possible to prepare them for what lies ahead in battle. IPME is able to provide any government agency with the tools to help sharpen their skills. Without these shipping containers it would be very difficult to create training grounds that can easily be moved, assembled, and reassembled.
