IPME designed, engineered and fabricated these custom modular 20′ high cube shipping containers into a woodshop classroom for the Side Street Projects in Pasadena, California. The mobile woodshops has four sets of shipping container cargo doors, two 20’x8′ awnings and the 20′ side walls fold down to become decks. These two shipping containers provide 640 square feet of shade protected woodshop classroom that fold up to securely store the tools at nighttime. Students of this non-profit organization learn useful skills in these modified shipping containers with outfitted interiors which include LED lighting, electrical, smooth insulated backwalls, turbine vents and finished floors. This turnkey modular classroom solution was delivered with a single truck and set up and broken down in one morning.
